Going on a motorcycle tour in Galicia and Asturias means traveling to the heart of an unusual Spain that has its roots plunging in the Celtic culture. Moreover, the landscape and the atmospheres will very quickly recall the wild landscapes of Brittany. Like Finistère, this region is located at the end of the country and is divided between a coastal relief dotted with cliffs and lighthouses planted on inaccessible and remote capes and green mountains and valleys. The Galician Lighthouse Route will take you to one of the most beautiful coasts in Europe, certainly the wildest and most breathtaking. The jagged Galician coast with its famous Rías, Altas and Rías Bajas are just a few of the many possible routes in this autonomous community.
You will fall under the spell of its colorful little coastal villages like in Cudillero or even the beauty of the cliffs of Cape Ortega, the highest cliffs in Europe.
Galicia is also the culmination of the Santiago de Compostela route, the most famous cultural trail in Europe which ends at its zero km in Cabo Finisterra. The inland is not to be outdone with the superb valley of the Ribeira Sacra and the colorful mountains of Las Medulas. Inside, the roads wind between mountains rounded by centuries, connecting towns and cities with singular charm like Ponferrada and Ourense. The Galician lands are not only lands suitable for motorcycle tourism, but for all types of tourism in general, whether sporting, rural, maritime or linked to nature. Of all the regions that make up the Iberian Peninsula, it is certain that Galicia is with Andalusia one of the most easily recognizable and characteristic place in Spain. As for the panoramas and winding routes that we have concocted for you, they will offer an unforgettable experience to all the riders who venture through these legendary lands.
This motorcycle itinerary through Galicia and Asturias is ideal for discovering all aspects of these magnificent regions and their population density and isolation gives rise to a multitude of twisty roads in very good condition that will delight lovers of curves and landscapes.
