Day 1- Tours - Chinon
You start your ride to the east following the Cher valley to reach Villandry, then it is along the Loire by bank road that offer the best view on the Loire that you will reach the castle of Langeais. Passing through Bréhémont, an authentic Loire fishing harbor, you can enjoy the best view of the Château of Ussé, which inspired Perrault for the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. It is after a loop around Saumur and its vineyard that you will reach your stopover in the beautiful medieval town of Chinon.
Day 2 - Chinon - Tours
You leave Chinon by the vineyard road and will stop at Crissay one of the most beautiful villages in France, then you will follow the Courtineau river by the valley of the same name to get to Loches, a another medieval city with many monuments to admire. You will end your journey with the castles of Montrésor and Amboise.
The Loire Valley is of course well known for its bicycle itinerary but why not add a engine to it to wander the banks of this majestic river. You will be surprised how many castles can be seen in a day while winding the small country roads of the wineyard. During this week-end you will discover a region rich in history, with a tasty gastronomy and a large variety of wines. Let's jump back in time, the time of queen & kings !.
