Arrival in Evian. Hotel check in.
visit the lake Léman shore and Thonon lake front.

Day 2 - Evian - Tarentaise valley

You start your ride of the Grand Alps Road by crossing the Bauges and Aravis mountain range. Then you will go through the Beaufortain region so well known for its cheese that will give you access to the Cormet of Roselend scenic road. You will stay in a mountain resort in Bourg St Maurice in the heart of Tarentaise valley.

Day 3 - Tarentaise valley - Briançon

Afer a short ride in the Tarentaise valley and passed Tigne and Val d'Isère, two of the most well know french ski resort you will climb one of the highest road pass in the Alps at the iseran pass in the Vanoise national park. On the other side of the pass you will stop at the village of Bonneval a typical Alps high mountain village. You will have to go through 2 more emblematic pass to reach Briançon : Lautaret and Galibier.

Day 4 - Briançon - Puget Theniers

Its through the Izoard pass that you will enter the Queyras National pak and its gorgous desertic high moutain landscapes. There you will see some of the greatest Vauban fortress until you reach Barcelonette. Then through the Cayolle pass and Daluis gorges you will Puget Theniers in the southern Alps.

Day 5 - Puget-Theniers - Menton

You will ride the gorges of the Cians river to start your day. Then you will visit some of the typical villages of high Provence : Trigance, Peillon, St Agnès. You will finally reach the see front of the french Riviera in Menton, hometown of lemon. Don't miss Monte Carlo if time permits...
