Day 1 - Vichy

Day 2 - Vichy - Le Mont Dore
Leaving Vichy, we enter the valley and then the Sioule gorges, surmounted by ancient medieval ruins. After a detour via the Queuille meander, we'll take a lunch break by the water. Notre Dame d'Orcival, one of Auvergne's most beautiful Romanesque churches, awaits us. We'll then climb the Puy Morand and Guéry passes.
Day 3 - Le Mont Dore - St Flour
We leave the Sancy massif to continue towards the Dordogne valley. After a coffee break at the Château de Val, overlooking the lake at Bort les Orgues. We then wander through the medieval streets of Salers, one of the most beautiful villages in the Auvergne. Via the Pas de Peyrol, which leads to the summit of Puy Mary, we descend to Murol and the St Flour plain.
Day 4 - St Flour - Bozouls
As soon as we leave the hotel, we see the Garabit viaduct, with its imposing arch over the Truyère. We then follow the gorge of the same name to the spa town of Chaudes Aigues, home to the hottest waters in Europe. We cross the Aubrac plateau and its austere landscapes of stone and hills stretching as far as the eye can see. Your Can-Am will continue further south towards the Lot valley and its superb typical villages such as St Côme d'Olt or Bozouls and its impressive trou.
Day 5 - Bozouls - Albi
We cross the Causse towards Conques, a major stopover on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela and one of France's most beautiful villages. We then follow the course of the Tarn to Villefranche de Rouergue and its imposing collegiate church. We'll then explore the narrow streets of Najac before reaching Albi to enjoy the historic center with its fortified cathedral, unique in Europe.
Day 6 - Albi - Millau
Following the Tarn valley, we head away from Albi towards Ambialet and its peninsula overlooking the river. We'll stroll through the narrow streets of Brousse le Château, whose imposing fortress overlooks the Tarn. We'll then visit the Roquefort cellars before continuing along the Tarn to the listed village of Peyre, which offers us the finest panoramic view of the Millau Viaduct.
Day 7 - Millau
On this day, we propose a short loop around Millau. This will take us across the Larzac plateau to La Couvertoirade, a typical Templar village, and then lunch in the heart of the cirque de Navacelles, classified as a Grand Site de France, to take advantage of the cool surroundings. We'll then follow the Dourbie gorges back to Millau, passing through the suspended village of Cantobre. All that's left for you to do is enjoy the swimming pool.
Day 8 - Millau - Les Vans
We start the day in the Jonte gorges, with their magnificent aplombs where many vultures nest. Then, after crossing the Méjean Causses, we'll descend the Malène hairpin bends, plunging into the heart of the Tarn gorges. We'll be able to admire remarkable sites such as the small village of St Chély du Tarn and Castelbouc. Finally, we'll have to cross the Col de Finiels on Mont Lozère to reach the Cévennes ardéchoises.
Day 9 - Les Vans - Le Puy en Velay
Here we are in southern Ardèche. We'll be visiting one of France's most beautiful villages, Balazuc, as well as Voguë. Then, following the Ardèche valley, we climb into the Monts d'Ardèche regional nature park via Burzet and the Ray pic waterfall. After a lunch break at Mont Gerbier de Jonc, source of the Loire, we'll reach our final stopover in Le Puy en Velay to enjoy the historic center of the episcopal city and celebrate the end of this superb journey through the Auvergne and Cévennes with a fine meal.
