Arrival in Glasgow, the starting point of your tour of Scotland. Hotel check-in.

Day 2 - Glasgow - Fort William

You leave Glasgow to follow one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland: Loch Lomond. Then following the valley of Glen Coe and its superb mountains you will reach Loch Linnhe which you will cross with the ferry to reach the peninsula of Glen Tarbert. The typical single track road of Scotland will lead you to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Scotland.

Après avoir admiré les escaliers de Neptune, ces multiples écluses en escaliers à la sortie de Fort William vous remontez vers le loch Ness connue pour son célèbre mythe du monstre en suivant le Caledonian canal. A la sortie de Fort Augustus vous pourrez admirer les ruines du château d’Uhrquart. Puis vous quitterez la vallée pour rouler dans le Glen Affric.

You ride north to reach Scotland's most northerly point at John O'Groat where you can have your photo taken at the foot of the sign. Along the way you will visit the Glenmorrangie distillery and taste the famous Scotch whisky. Don't miss Dunrobin Castle and wander the ruins of Sinclair Castle at Noss Point.

Stop at Dunnet Head Lighthouse to enjoy the view before riding along the north coast and its many bays with turquoise waters that can remind you of the Caribbean. From Durness you will ride on narrow single-lane roads so emblematic of the Highlands. You can stroll along the banks of Loch Assynt and the Ardvreck Castle before reaching the small harbour of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom.

Start your day at Measach Falls, then you'll take one of the most beautiful roads in the Highlands to Gruinard bay where you'll probably come across more sheep than people. It is then through Glen Torridon that you will reach the charming village of Applecross. All you have to do is travel the few kilometers of the impressive Beleach Na Ba road to reach Kyle of Lochalch, your base camp to explore the Isle of Skye.

Today you can explore the entire Isle of Skye and enjoy its many sites: the Kilt Rock waterfall, the sharp peaks of the Old Man of Storr or even the ruins of Duntulm Castle. But it is above all the magnificent road that crosses the mountains of Quiraing that will mark you. To finish your loop, take the opportunity to stop at a sheepskin store to find the skin that will cover your motorcycle saddle for your greatest comfort.

 

Day 8 - Kyle of Lochalsch - Aviemore

You head east and will admire Eilean Donan Castle on Loch duich. Then after crossing Loch Lochy again you will reach Cairn Gorm National Park.

 

Day 9 - Aviemore - Pitlochry

You leave the national park for the Spey valley following the Lecht road known for its many whiskey distilleries including the famous Glenlivet. Then you will have the opportunity to admire the castles of this region: Corgarff, the royal residence of Balmoral, and Braemar. Finally, through the Grampians Mountains and Devil's Elbow Pass you will again reach the verdant plains.

 

Day 10 - Pitlochry - Edimbourg

On this short motorcycle day ride you will reach Edinburgh in a few hours through Stirling and the impressive Wallace monument so important for the Scottish people and enjoy a stop at the foot of the famous Unesco-listed Forth Bridge railway bridge.

You will need a good day to come to discover all the treasures of the beautiful city of Edinburgh. The city is the most visited city in the UK after London. Don't miss the Carlton hill park and its superb view of the city as well as the castle which dominates the old town in relief.
