DOLOMITES NORTHERN ITALY (Guided)

ITINERARY

• Day 1

  Orta San Giulio:

  Participants’ arrival and hotel check-in. Free time to explore Orta San Giulio, a charming village on the shores of the lake bearing the same name. Group briefing and welcome cocktail to kick off this tour dedicated to la dolce vita.

• Day 2

  Orta San Giulio – Lake Como (185 km):

  Climb to the summit of Mottarone with panoramic views over the Alps and the lakes.
  Descent towards the western shores of Lake Maggiore, then passing through Lugano and its lake in Italian-speaking Switzerland. A superb ride along the Balcone d’Italia before reaching the romantic shores of Lake Como.

• Day 3

  Lake Como – Chiavenna (113 km):

  A day focused on charm and motorcycle culture.
  Discovery of Bellagio, the jewel of Lake Como, and a ride along its shores.
  Visit (subject to opening times) of the Moto Guzzi Museum in Mandello del Lario.
  Arrival in Chiavenna, a historic town at the foot of the Alps.

• Day 4

  Chiavenna – Mendola Pass (267 km):

  Climb of the Maloja Pass and passage by Lake Silvaplana, in the heart of the Grisons.
  Panoramic ride towards the Livigno Valley, followed by the ascent of the legendary Stelvio Pass (2,860 m).
  Descent through the vineyards and orchards of South Tyrol to the Mendola Pass and the Gampenjoch Pass.

• Day 5

  Mendola Pass – Cortina d’Ampezzo (182 km):

  A full day of pure Alpine pleasure. Crossing Lake Carezza, the Pordoi and Falzarego passes, with panoramic views over the Marmolada massif.
  Stop at Lake Misurina, in the heart of the Dolomites.

• Day 6

  Cortina d’Ampezzo – Brescia (310 km):

  A superb descent through the Dolomites National Park.
  Passing by Monte Bondone, the Civetta massif and the Catena di Bocche.
  Arrival on the shimmering shores of Lake Garda, followed by a ride along the spectacular Strada della Forra, a panoramic road carved into the cliff.

• Day 7

  Brescia – Orta San Giulio (210 km):

  Final stage through Bergamo’s Città Alta, Como, and the lakes of Varese and Orta. Return to Orta San Giulio to bring this lakes journey to a fitting close.
  Closing dinner.

• Day 8

  Orta San Giulio:

  Participants depart after breakfast.
