DESCRIPTION

A large-scale road trip at the heart of the largest mountain range in Europe: the Alps. Over ten days, this loop takes you through France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany, between peaks, deep valleys, and alpine lakes.

A true grail for motorcyclists, this journey follows emblematic mountain passes such as St. Gotthard, Furka, and Grossglockner, while skirting some of the most beautiful lakes in Europe: Como, Brienz, and Constance.

The itinerary favors panoramic roads, authentic villages, and the hospitality of traditional alpine hotels, far from the bustle of major cities.

ITINERARY

  • Day 1

    Thonon-les-Bains:

    Arrival of participants at the starting point of the trip, hotel check-in.

  • Day 2

    Thonon – Innertkirchen (253 km):

    Departure along the shores of Lake Geneva before reaching Aigle Castle and its vineyards. Discovery of the old town and Gruyères Castle, then riding toward the shores of Lake Thun and Oberhofen Castle.
    End of the stage in the magnificent Jungfrau valley.

  • Day 3

    Innertkirchen – Lake Como (219 km):

    Crossing of the legendary Swiss passes: Grimsel, Furka, and St. Gotthard, before reaching Lake Lugano and Lake Como. Spectacular alpine panoramas and roads among the most famous in the Swiss and Italian Alps.

  • Day 4

    Lake Como – Chiavenna (120 km):

    Ride along the shores of Lake Como with a stop in the village of Bellagio, considered the pearl of the lake. Visit of the Moto Guzzi Museum in Mandello del Lario, then discovery of the village of Varenna and the historic center of Chiavenna.

  • Day 5

    Chiavenna – Dolomites (271 km):

    Passing through the Maloja Pass, then the lakes of Silvaplana and St. Moritz. Ascent of the legendary Stelvio Pass at 2,860 meters, one of the most spectacular in Europe. Crossing of the Mendel Pass and the Gampenjoch, before reaching the vineyards and orchards of South Tyrol and the Livigno valley.

  • Day 6

    Dolomites – Grossglockner (250 km):

    Magnificent stage through the Dolomites, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discovery of Lake Carezza, the Marmolada and Giau passes, then passing at the foot of the Falzarego Pass cable car. End of the day at Lake Misurina, in the heart of a grand alpine setting.

  • Day 7

    Grossglockner – Garmisch-Partenkirchen (300 km):

    Exceptional day on the great alpine panoramic road of the Grossglockner, one of the most famous mountain roads in Europe. Discovery of the Krimml waterfalls, the highest in Europe, then crossing of the typical villages of the Austrian Tyrol. Entry into Bavaria via the Alpenstrasse road and stop at Lake Achensee.

  • Day 8

    Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Vorarlberg (130 km):

    Visit of Ettal Abbey and the painted houses of Oberammergau, before riding along Lake Plansee. Discovery of the legendary Neuschwanstein Castle, then riding toward Vorarlberg following the Alpenstrasse.

  • Day 9

    Vorarlberg – Eguisheim (320 km):

    Final day of riding through the most beautiful landscapes of Lake Constance with a stop at the historic village of Meersburg and a ferry crossing of the lake. Discovery of the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen, then return to France through the Black Forest massif. End of the route in Eguisheim, one of the most beautiful villages in Alsace.

  • Day 10

    Eguisheim:

    Departure after breakfast.
