TUSCANY AND CINQUE TERRE (Guided)

ITINERARY

• Day 1

  Sestri Levante:

  Arrival of participants in Sestri Levante, on the Ligurian Riviera.
  Hotel check-in, group briefing, and welcome cocktail facing the sea.

• Day 2

  Sestri Levante – Massa (158 km):

  Discovery of the panoramic roads of the Cinque Terre National Park, listed as a World Heritage site. Stops in the typical villages of Levanto, Manarola, and Portovenere, before reaching Massa on the Italian Riviera.

• Day 3

  Massa – Pescia (242 km):

  Passing through the Carrara marble quarries, then riding into the heart of the Apennines via the superb SP13. Discovery of the village of Isola Santa, the Radici Pass, and a stop in Collodi, the village of Pinocchio.

• Day 4

  Pescia – Monte Amiata (246 km):

  Cultural and panoramic stage: Pisa and its famous leaning tower, the medieval streets of San Gimignano, then the Orcia Valley, listed by UNESCO.
  End of the stage on the heights of Montegiovi, facing Mount Amiata.

• Day 5

  Monte Amiata – Orvieto (230 km):

  Magnificent route between hilltop villages and Tuscan landscapes: the hot springs of Saturnia, Pitigliano, Sovana, and Sorano. Passing by Lake Bolsena, then discovery of the suspended village of Civita di Bagnoregio before arrival in Orvieto.

• Day 6

  Orvieto – Siena (198 km):

  Crete Senesi road, vineyards and hilltop villages of Montepulciano and Bagno Vignoni. Arrival in Siena, a medieval jewel of Tuscany, for a self-guided visit of the historic center and the famous Piazza del Campo.

• Day 7

  Siena – Sestri Levante (220 km):

  Final stage through the hills of the Chianti and its vineyards.
  Discovery of the historic center of Florence: Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, banks of the Arno, Uffizi Museum, and Palazzo Vecchio. Return to the coast via Lucca, a charming fortified town, before the closing dinner in Sestri Levante.

• Day 8

  Sestri Levante:

  Departure of participants after breakfast.
